Teton
School District
David began as a PLC coach, offering professional development and coaching to K-12 site principals, district directors, and instructional coaches. Over his three years with the district, he also provided professional development and coaching support to teacher teams and site PLC leadership teams in each of the K-8 schools. Teton School District has 9 schools serving students in grades K-12.
The district leaders and teacher teams are dedicated to operating as a true professional learning community and have made significant strides in their practices to positively impact student achievement. Each school implements strong core instruction and master schedules that support tier 1, 2, and 3 interventions. Site PLC leadership and MTSS teams have done an outstanding job of assisting the staff in building shared knowledge and progress monitoring each of the three tiers.
Each of the six elementary schools has demonstrated improvement in the school-wide percentage of students proficient in reading and math over a three-year period, based on the Wyoming state assessment.
